Dr.-Ing. Herbert ZEISEL Ministerial dirigent, Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
Dr Zeisel is Deputy Director General “Key Technologies for Growth” at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). He received his diploma and PhD from the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen-Nuremberg as Chemical-Engineer. In 1988, he joined the “Federal Ministry for Research and Technology” (BMFT, later BMBF) acting as Research-Manager in different ICT-Areas. From 2002 to 2010 he was the Coordinating Director of the “DLR-Projektträger” in the field of “Information and Communication Technologies” (ICT) at the German Aerospace Agency (DLR). In addition, he represented Germany as head of delegation in several European and international committees. From 2012 to 2014 Dr Zeisel headed the division for Nanotechnology, New Materials and Batteries at the BMBFand acted as member of the Board of Trustees of 10 German Research Centers.
